There are a number of services and organisations which cater to Children’s wellbeing and needs. Below is a list of some organisations and services in the area, from youth projects, education and training for those under 18.

SWAN Youth Project


SWAN’s mission is to empower and facilitate young people to be critical thinkers, to have an equal voice, to make informed life choices so that they are valued in their own right and are active participants in their own lives, in their communities and in wider society.

Belvedere Youth Club


Belvedere Youth Club’s mission if for any young person from the area, between the ages of seven and 25, to develop their confidence and start to determine their own futures through educational, personal, and career development. Turning away from self-destructive patterns and deciding to take control of one’s life is an incredibly hard choice and requires support from people who understand the journey and are trained in youth work.

Ozanam House


Ozanam House is a community project operated by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, based on Mountjoy Square in Dublin’s North Inner City. It provides members of the local community with a vital stepping-stone to learning and development, safety, and encouragement.

Lourdes Youth & Community Services


LYCS is an integrated community-based education, training, recreation, and development project which is concerned with giving participants the opportunity to become involved in their own development and the development of their community. The organisation is locally based and participatory. Personal and social development are seen as inextricably linked to the of local community development resources.

Children & Young People’s Services Committee


Children and Young People’s Services Committees (CYPSC) are a key structure identified by Government to plan and co-ordinate services for children and young people in every county in Ireland. Their age remit spans all children and young people aged from 0 to 24 years. The purpose of the CYPSC is to ensure effective interagency co-ordination and collaboration to achieve the best outcomes for all children and young people in their area.​

City of Dublin Education & Training Board


The role of CDYSB is to support the provision, coordination, administration, and assessment of youth services in our functional area and provide such information as may be required by the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs in relation to this support. CDYSB is also responsible to the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, the Department of Health and the Department of Education and Skills for the administration of grant aid.

Hill Street Family Resource Centre


Hill Street Family Resource Centre is an Inter-cultural Centre for families and children based in Dublin’s Northeast Inner City. We provide children and their families with person-centred services that are easily accessible and inclusive of all. These services promote full social participation and aim to enable families maximise their health, well-being, and life chances.
